The 1st package arrived and the packaging was insecurely & loosely packed, which was unusual for Amazon shipments. That blender was dead on arrival. It failed to turn on. I returned it through a UPS store. The replacement arrived and it was DOUBLE boxed, unlike the 1st. It was properly held in place with packing materials missing in the 1st shipment. That 1st shipment was obviously a defective return that was shipped to me as new.Testing the ALL NEW 2nd blender with a Kilowatt P3 device, from Amazon, I found the blender at max speed pulled 350 watts, nowhere near the advertised 1500 watts. It did liquify MUCH BETTER than the Oster it replaced. The Amazon blender does produce EXCELLENT smooth juices and the fruit/vegetable fibers are totally liquified. This positive aspect is probably due to the great double-blade design and high speed it does achieve. I do recommend it, regardless of its TRUE sub 400 watt power. It does JUICING very well. I plan to also use it for mixing hot/melted chocolate wafers, cocoa butter wafers with erythritol for the creation of KETO chocolate bars. We'll see the durability in the months to come.UPDATE: Not good for my Keto chocolate bar creations in my experience. You can mix a melted combo of chocolate wafers along with cocoa butter wafers to liquify it up just great, but once you add powdered sweeteners or nut powders, the blender just slows down and chokes. Do it too long and it will stop mixing. The sweeteners and nut powders will have to be blended manually if you don't want to burn out this blender. You could utilize MONK FRUIT SWEETENER in liquid form and that would work, but the additional powders you'll have to mix manually.I got off to a rocky start with this. It arrived with the lid having a torn gasket (despite no damage to the shipping box), as shown in one of the enclosed pictures. I contacted Amazon product support to ask if they could just send me a new gasket, but all they could do was to exchange the entire product for me. I note that, as of this writing, I’m unable to find any replacement parts like this listed individually. I hope that’s just because this is a new product and they haven’t gotten to it yet. Because I would expect to be able to buy a new pitcher or a new lid if they break. I’d hate to think Amazon expects me to throw the whole thing away and buy a new blender when that day comes. That issue sorted, though, this seems like a perfectly adequate blender at a nice price. I’m a little puzzled that it’s branded as AmazonCommercial when the label says it’s only for household use. And it really does seem to me like household use is the correct target for this product. I overloaded the blender by not putting in enough liquid, as I have been known to do with other blenders, and it responded just like other household blenders: it stopped blending and made a bit of a burning smell. So I don’t feel like its oversize base gives it any immense advantage compared to other household blenders that I’ve used. My wife used it to make a peanut butter sauce too and wasn't impressed with the power either, although it got the job done. We also aren’t fans of the big gasket on the lid, preferring the one-piece lid of our old blender---this gasket holds the lid in place a little too well for our liking, making it more of a production to open it up. So the chief selling point here is that it’s a seemingly fine household blender for a low price. It sure is big, though. It’s about 19” tall, which is about an inch too tall to fit on my kitchen counter under the cabinets — which is a little annoying. If they could’ve just made it an inch shorter then that would’ve really helped me out, even if they had to make the monstrous base a bit wider to do it.I like the self cleaning “feature”, which consists of putting warm water and a drop of soap in and blending it. You still have to rinse out the immense bubbles that result and wipe it down, but I find it more convenient than taking up so much space in my dishwasher. One wonders if this would actually work in any blender, because I’m not really understanding how blending soapy water is a feature of this particular blender, but if nothing else it’s a neat life hack that I learned.Update 9 months later: getting increasingly annoyed with the loud noises and lack of power, downgrading to two stars.I have had it for 3 months and use it daily. It has yet to fail, everything I throw in, cut or not it blends it down to a paste or liquid within 30 seconds. What I like the most about it is how easy it is to clean, all my other blenders I would have to disect them and clean it all one peice at a time, for this i just put in hot water with soap and it cleaned the blades complete everytimeThis is a very nice blender with a strong motor looks very stylish and easy to clean. Only negative it has a poly vessel I would prefer glassIt's pretty much a Vitamix for $80. I love it! I just chopped up an entire pineapple to make puree and it was no problem. I am going to eat healthier and this will help.I've been blending frozen berries with no water added and its working great after two months.Read many times how to use controls do it actually turns on when you want it to. Don’t miss the part about the reset button under the machine!
