My first impression of this pedal was the versatility of the thing. BUT, I have to be clear here. The gain range is off the charts and you can even get clean and fuzz mixed - not my thing but it's there. The thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars are the tone options. For my setup the "lo" setting seemed off. The "lo" actually seemed to get brighter through the distortion of those frequencies, giving it this odd feel - like if you wanted it to really open up all the gain you had to push those lows. This may be exactly what you want, but to me, I found it difficult to hone in a proper tight and/or aggressive tone. I would also add that nothing feels too "organic" in gain structure, it's more mix and match different tones - like a clean tone playing in front of a fuzz tone 300 feet behind the clean amp, it's not really dynamic in the way that you might expect, has a parallel feel, instead of series. But I cannot say it sounds "bad" - it definitely excels at many things and could be used for lighter styles, but for me I had to pull it off my board, it's too "classic mojo" for my vibe. I personally never chose to use both channels and felt that the fatbee (which is amazing) could be a better version of the sound I got from the royal jelly's overdrive tones.
